Lehocká
Denisa LehockáIn the context of Lehocká’s artistic practice, Untitled (2000) is part of a larger body of work, a trace in an open system of ongoing recordings of her experience and observations. The work seems like an “entry” in a series of registrations of the momentary state of things examined through introspection and the strictly personal references of the artist. Untitled (2000) is a complex, inter-connected system of objects and interventions in space that reference the conceptual artistic tradition. A table and chairs, however oddly arranged, set up an axis of familiarity and intimacy, easing our access to the whole. They are concurrently defined as the main platforms to support other installation
elements, and as such delineate proximities and relations within this structured entity. Untitled (2000) could be considered an unobtrusive proposal to look at what’s around us through personalized topography and poetic possibilities. |
